About C-90
C-90 is a bimodal-distribution C-glass flake with a D50 of approximately 160 μm and 5 ± 2 μm thickness. The balanced size profile (10% 1700–300 μm, 65% 300–45 μm, 25% < 45 μm) creates a tightly-packed lamellar barrier when cured while remaining sprayable through standard airless equipment at 200–400 μm DFT. C-90 is the most widely specified glass flake grade in heavy-duty protective coatings for ship hulls, offshore structures, bridges, and chemical-process vessels. The overlapping platelet arrangement reduces moisture vapour transmission by up to 10× compared to unfilled polymer matrices.
